Nelson mandela was born to the Thembu royal family on 18th of July 1918,he was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the first black South African to hold the office, and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election. I respect the man named Mandela just because of his courage. He attended Fort-hare university and the university of waltersrand where he bagged degree as a lawyer.  Working as a lawyer, he was repeatedly arrested for seditious activities and, with the ANC leadership, was unsuccessfully prosecuted in the Treason Trial from 1956 to 1961. Although initially committed to non-violent protest, he co-founded the militant Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) in 1961 in association with the South African Communist Party, leading a sabotage campaign against the apartheid government. In 1962 he was arrested, convicted of conspiracy to overthrow the government, and sentenced to life imprisonment in the Rivonia Trial.
Mandela served 27 years in prison (3 different prisons), . An international campaign lobbied for his release, which was granted in 1990 amid escalating civil strife. Nelson mandela unparalleled courage at black man emancipation can be reviewed by African surviving leaders improve and standardize Africa's access to quality education to bring us at per with the west world
